Properties of zinc chloride

Zinc chloride is in the form of white hexagonal granular crystals or powder. The heating rate of microwave irradiation is 1.39k/s, and the molecular formula is ZnCl2. Zinc chloride is one of the important commodities in the inorganic salt industry. It has a wide range of applications, many of which are used in printing and dyeing plants and in the production of dyes. Zinc Chloride Solution is easily soluble in water, soluble in methanol, ethanol, glycerin, ether, acetone, and insoluble in liquid chlorine. It has strong deliquescence and can absorb moisture from the air and deliquescence. It has the characteristics of dissolving metal oxides and cellulose. Molten zinc chloride has very good electrical conductivity. Deep white smoke is formed when it is hot. Zinc chloride is corrosive and harmful, so it should be stored in a sealed dry place.

The main use of zinc chloride

1. Inorganic industrial production: In inorganic industrial production, Anhydrous Zinc Chloride is used as the activator for the production of activated carbon, which makes the activated carbon a porous structure and expands its area. It is also used to produce anti-alcohol foam fire extinguishing fluid and raw materials for the production of zinc cyanide.

2. Organic industrial production: organic industrial production is used as an organic solvent for polyacrylonitrile, organic contact agent, dehydrating agent, condensing agent, deodorant, special surface activator and used for vanillin, otorhin, indomethacin Catalysts for the production of pharmaceuticals and cation exchange resins.

3. Petroleum industry production: as a purifying agent.

4. Industrial production of dyes: as a stabilizer of the color salt of ice dyes, and also used in the production of reactive dyes and cationic dyes.

5. Rubber industry production: as auxiliary material of vulcanization accelerator zPC.

6. Printing and dyeing industry production: as mordant, mercerizing agent, weighting agent. The electroplating process is industrially produced as a zinc ion additive for ammonia salt zinc plating.

7. Pigment industry production: used as white pigment raw material.

8. Metallurgical industry: Zinc Chloride is used to produce aluminum alloy profiles and solve metal surface layers. Used as a rust remover during electric welding. Coal washing plants are often used for sink and float experiments.

9. Organic synthesis industrial production: as dehydrating agent and condensing agent in organic synthesis industrial production, and as a catalyst for the production of vanillin, laureus aldehyde, anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs, and cation exchange resin. Can be used as an organic solvent for polyacrylonitrile.

10. Dyeing and weaving industry production: as mordant, mercerizing agent, sizing agent.

11. Textile industry production: as a raw material (cosolvent for cotton fiber) for the production of sliver barrels, shuttles and other raw materials, it can improve the adhesion of chemical fibers.
